PAUL WRIGHT - Multi Instrumentalist

After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music, Paul's first position was as lead trombone in the QE2 Orchestra where he completed a year's contract including the 2002 World Cruise.

Since returning to the UK, Paul has worked as a freelance musician, teacher, Musical Director, and arranger in London. His West End Musical Theatre credits include: The Producers, Guys and Dolls, Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago, The Rat Pack, Anything Goes, Sinatra, and has been a principal trombone in Carousel at the Savoy Theatre.

Recently, Paul has appeared on BBC 1's "Strictly Come Dancing", performing with John Barrowman. Paul has also worked and performed on television, on stage and in concerts with artists including: Sigfried and Roy, Shirley Bassey, Nathan Lane, Lesley Garrett, Russell Watson, Claire Sweeney, Denise Van Outen and Emma Bunton.

Paul has written and arranged music for several solo artists and his music has been performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC Big Band.

Now performing as a solo multi-instrumental artist, Paul performs music from the Big band era, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Classical, and commercial genres, performing on a wide range of instruments including Trombone, Trumpet, Euphonium, Valve Trombone and Flugel Horn.
