NEW ENGLISH ROSE STRING QUARTET
For those events which require something special, English
Rose has it all: from serenading duets of 2 violins to a full string ensemble
dressed in sophisticated evening dress or period costume.
Music from all periods can be played with dynamic
style. Their string duets add a delightfully soft ambience whilst the trio and quartet
are extremely versatile with a huge repertoire of music of all styles.
The Quartet itself has played at many events where
particular music has been requested ranging from James Bond to national
anthems & themed music for Embassy evenings as well as collections of folksongs for corporate
celebrations and weddings.
English Rose takes great care to present itself
in keeping with the surroundings. We have a variety of outfits, each appropriate
for different occasions. As an example, silk ball gowns in a range of colours
for weddings or sophisticated and elegant black evening dresses for corporate
events. For the less formal or daytime lunches we have specially designed
waistcoats embroidered with roses and smart trousers. Together with
our contacts in the theatre world, clients can create a fantasy theme
as we can offer sumptuous outfits from most periods.
Over the years, English Rose has accumulated a large
repertoire of music that appeals to all tastes. We are extending this
list all the time, so if there is something that you would like but you
cannot find it in these pages, please ask us! We can also arrange music
(for a small fee).
We are always happy to advise on repertoire, and we
can provide you with our specially recorded CD of music for wedding ceremonies.
