Katie studied music at Bristol University and went on to acquire a Masters in performance from York University, which she graduated from in October 2007.

As well as performing frequently as a soloist, Katie also accompanied, sung in the chamber choirs and choral societies and played in the university orchestras and ensembles both as a pianist and as a clarinetist.

Katie worked for the Norwich Theatre Royal for two years as a pianist for the Breckland Schools Project. This involved her working with children aged 10 and 11 in helping them produce their own interpretation of an opera, which they perform on the Theatre Royal Stage which she accompanied.

In December 2008 Katie worked as the rehearsal pianist for the Norwich Pantomime working with the likes of Richard Gauntlett, Caitlin Stasey and Liza Goddard.

From January to April 2009 Katie worked as the Musical Director for the Norfolk Youth Music Theatre. While in Norwich Katie continued to also perform as a soloist, giving recitals at such venues as The Assembly House and The Old Granary Studios.

In June 2009 Katie moved to London and has been working as a musician including working as a accompanist, Musical Director, teacher and recitalist.
