Maciej began playing music at the age of seven. His first instrument was the cello, but needing something more challenging and demanding he quickly changed to the violin. Later he studied the trumpet and finally the piano.

As a student at the Gdansk Conservatorium of Music he was granted a prestigious scholarship from the Polish Ministry of Culture and Art. As a pianist he has performed at many important musical events in Poland, France, Germany and Holland.

In 2002 Maciej was graduated with honours from the College of Music in Gdansk. Although his favourite masterpieces were composed by Chopin, Debussy and Rachmaninov, Maciej has recently discovered a new passion - playing popular music.

His most recent performances were in Austin, Texas where he was invited by Polish Society in Austin. He gave three Chopin recitals to celebrate year 2010 which is Fryderyk Chopin's 200 birthday anniversary.
