SINGER-PIANISTS
COLIN SALTER
Teaming up with the Jeanne Little, the "Dahling" sweetheart of Australian Television, Colin was MD and support act for Marlene - A Tribute To Dietrich. He was guest MD for the Ten Network's Good Morning Australia with Bert Newton and still performs regularly on the show. Colin's one-man shows, The CAMP SONGS that Baden-Powell Rejected, and PIANIST ENVY - A Tribute to the Piano Man received rave reviews and consequent sell-out seasons at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the Adelaide International Fringe Festival and the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival Club. His performance of Leather is a Boys Best Friend at the Sydney Mardi Gras Awards Night climaxed with a 2000 strong standing ovation and subsequent seasons of CAMP SONGS followed in Sydney and Canberra. In Theatre, Colin was cast in 'Cole', was a piano man in The Piano Men, directed by Terry O'Connell, at Melbourne's Forum Theatre, and was MD/Performer for an Australian production of Tomfoolery, directed by Stuart Maunder. Noted by internationally acclaimed singer Lana Cantrell for his outstanding performance at the 1998 Sydney Cabaret Convention, Colin was awarded a trip to New York to attend the NYC Cabaret Convention. He performed at the famed show biz bar Don't Tell Mama in New York and le Hotel Californie in Paris before embarking (literately) on cruise ships for Silversea and Princess Cruises. Most recently, Colin joined Crystal Cruises, an award winning six star luxury cruise line and was honored to join Dionne Warwick and Julie Andrews as part of the entertainment team on the maiden voyage of the Crystal flagship, The Crystal Serenity.
