SINGER-PIANISTS

CONFREY PHILLIPS

Confrey Phillips

Confrey Phillips, the stylish society singer and pianist, began his career when he formed his own trio in the 1950's after being discovered at London's Milroy Club by Ava Gardner and Clark Gable. He was then hired by the Les Ambassadeurs Club and had his first recording contracts with the Columbia and Decca Records and frequent appearances on BBC Radio and TV.

After his performance at Buckingham Palace, café society adopted Confrey, and this led to his playing at England's top society balls, London's Royal Film Premiere parties and Command Performances.

In the United States, Confrey performed for several years in the most popular night clubs in New York, Los angeles, Miami, Dallas, and Newport Beach, California.

Confrey is known for his charm, zest and personality. His repertoire is sophisticated, and includes the classics of popular music from the show tunes of the 1930's to the music of recent composers. He performs with elegant style and a definite jazz touch, which have brought him excellent reviews and a large and enthusiastic in both Britain and the United States.
