KEVIN OWEN

Kevin first performed in public at the age of 6 and has appeared on both radio and TV from the age of 13 as well as being featured in many commercials as a vocalist and a “voice over artist” at Groove Deluxe Studios in Halifax. Some of Kevin’s other achievements include: Two feature appearances as a featured songwriter on CBC Radio, Canada’s national radio station, a video release for a Government agency with the band Steps Around The House, recording the title song for the movie Toby McTeague in New York and his band New Grafitti won Q104 Radio’s songwriting contest as well as a Canadian Factor grant to develop his original music.

Since 1991 Kevin has been crossing Europe as a piano entertainer as well as continuing with radio commercials in Halifax. His performances as a piano entertainer have taken him from London to Rekyavic, Oslo to Zürich. While in Rekyavic, Kevin performed live on Iceland’s national radio program . In 1998 he was recorded live from The Splendid Bar in Zürich for a Sat3 German TV production which aired in Norway, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Kevin now lives in Austria and tours regularly throughout Switzerland and the rest of Europe. His high energy and engaging performance has pleased many an audience with a repretoire that includes his own brand of Pop/R&B tunes to covers of todays hits “Kevin is truely entertaining...”- Ralf Hezel, Casablanca Piano Bar. Kevin is presently recording a new CD to compliment his previous Maxi CD, “ California”.
