SINGERSANITA LOUISE COMBE
Anita is originally from Adelaide in South Australia. However, her career has taken her to many parts of the world including performing regularly in the West End over the past decade. She has also toured Canada, USA, Europe, The Middle East and Australia throughout her extensive career. Anita is one of the few people to date to have had the opportunity to play both Roxie and Velma in the current West End production of Chicago opposite David Hasselhoff, Marti Pellow & Alyson Moyet. Anita originated the role of Stephanie Mangano in the world premiere production of Saturday Night Fever at the London Palladium to much critical acclaim. She was also in the world premier production of Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard playing the role of Betty Schaeffer, a role she went on to re-create in the Canadian Premiere with Diahann Carroll and for which she was nominated twice for best Actress in a musical. Anita also did her first Rock and Roll tour last year performing with the extremely popular boy band; Take That! Which then lead to performing at Elton John’s ‘White Tie and Tiara Ball’. Anita’s extensive theatre work also includes: Mavis Turner in Stepping Out {Derby Playhouse}, Elizabeth Crabbe in Alan Ayckbourne’s Taking Steps{London}, Constance Wilde in Oscar {Shaw Theatre, London}, The Actress in Hello Again {Bridewell Theatre, London Premiere},Mimi in La Boheme {World Premiere MTL production}, Cosette in Les Miserables {Australian Production} Sybil in Private Lives {Sydney Opera House}, Peron’s Mistress in Evita {State Theatre, Sydney}, Fermina/Gypsy, Dancer in the Victorian State Opera’s Man of La Mancha, Peggy in Honeyspot {Aust./Aboriginal play, Elizabethan Theatre Trust} : Jemima in the Australian Premiere of Cats. Film & Television credits include: Holby City BBC, Feature film; Rabbit Fever, Silent Witness BBC, Belinda Australian Feature Film, A Country Practice, Home and Away, G. P, Ray Martin Midday Show Guest appearances singing live, Good Morning Australia Guest appearances singing live.
