REBECCA ROBERTS

Due to Rebecca's father working as a stand up comedian and mother working as a singer/actress in West End theatre it was no surprise when Rebecca decided at 7 years old she wanted to be part of the entertainment world. She attended Corona Stage Academy London and while there enjoyed performing in lots of theatre productions including Les Miserables Palace Theatre London. The highlights of her school days however were the chance to work with two of the most influential British entertainers of their field. Rebecca was Paul Daniels mini assistant on his bbc christmas day special in 1988 and at the age of 12 being an accomplished flautist had the honour of playing alongside the late roy castle.

At 18 years old Rebecca decided to pursue her own music, playing piano and guitar she studied Jazz at Leeds College of Music. Since leaving college she has played numerous tours and festivals and recorded many sessions, her favourite though is understandably the duet with her mother (Rebecca Storm) "Why Worry" which got to no. 6 in the Irish charts.

a widely respected songwriter in her own right this has enabled her forthcoming debut album currently being recorded to have some of the finest musicians in the world of jazz and pop eager to guest, even including members of her biggest idol Bob Marley's band The Wailers.

Rebecca's endearing personality came across more than ever while performing as guest cabaret on p&o cruises in 2011 because she loves being given the chance to put her eclectic mix of musical influences into one fun show. Although her cover versions are diverse in genre ranging from The Jam to Barbara Streisand they are her own unique arrangements exuding as much class as Rebecca's enticing vocals.
